Yorkhill Children’s foundation held their third annual Yorkhill dinner at the Radisson SAS hotel in Glasgow on the 12th of November 2009.
The spectacular occasion raised just under £90 000, which will go towards the purchase of a paediatric intensive care ambulance.
ROX were thrilled to support the event by donating a beautiful guess ladies wristwatch for the prize draw. There were many other brilliant prizes donated, including two return flights from Glasgow or Edinburgh to Vienna.
The Teddy Bear foundation hosted their first ever Gala Ball at the five star, Glasgow Hilton on Saturday the 21st November 2009. The glittering event raised an astonishing £100, 000 for the charity, which will be used to improve the lives of children with special needs.
The foundation has already made a huge difference to the lives of many children with special needs. For example their help and support has helped the Isobel Mair School fund a mini-flat within Williamwood High School, this will allow pupils to develop the skills needed for an independent future.
ROX ran its popular “ROX in a BOX” competition. We donated 200 beautifully gift wrapped ROX boxes and in one special box we placed a pair of stunning diamond earrings. There was also the chance to win 8 more exquisite prizes, including a diamond pendant and links of London bracelet, by purchasing one of 200 envelopes. Guests were invited to buy a bag which contained 5 boxes and 5 envelopes. This helped to raise a magnificent £8, 500 for the charity.
