We’re going Sex and the City crazy here at ROX in anticipation of the new film coming out at the end of May. And probably like most SatC fanatics we’re working our way through the boxsets to refresh our memory on just why we fell in love with fantastic foursome.

We’re at the episode where Carrie found the ring Aiden was originally going to propose and she HATED it? It kinda got us thinking so we went to our good friend Diamondalicious for her thoughts on it…
My reaction was “hmmm it’s a perfectly lovely looking pear cut diamond ring you ungrateful wench” but maybe she had a point… I can’t help but wonder (notice the Carrie-ism?) – do we have a diamond personality?
Are we a classic brilliant cut diamond ring? Or maybe you like the clean lines of the emerald cut? Did you envy the young Miss Victoria Adams and her perfect marquise cut diamond ring from Mr Beckham? What about the lesser known options like the Assher cut = a hymn to deco or the flanders cut with it’s square design and additional facets?
Of course Carrie was under whelmed with the rather large pear cut solitaire which Aiden had picked out and there was the inevitable long discussion over brunch – luckily Samantha came to the rescue and secretly took him shopping for the perfect square stone.
So if we have a style for our hair, a style for shoes, a style for work wardrobe and a different style for casual then it only stands to reason that we have a diamond style.
Would you buy a wedding dress without trying it on? Would you buy shoes without trying them on and checking them out from every angle? No, of course we wouldn’t, so don’t be afraid – you can try diamonds on. Of course you can, the staff at Rox are fabulous for making you feel special. They don’t hurry you – they KNOW that this is a big purchase and you should take your time and try different styles and different sizes. Jewellery buying for me has always been the least pressured environment so sit back and enjoy the experience!
