Finance Director

Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director to join an inspiring, contemporary luxury jewellers. The company has ambitious plans to grow turnover from £15m to £40m in the next 5-7 years.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Form a close working relationship with the Managing Director and CEO, other Senior Executives and Non Executives.
  • Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance.
  • Take control of the company’s accounting function.
  • Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, to support and challenge the Directors as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
  • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
  • Lead and develop the finance team.
  • Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
  • Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
  • Present annual accounts to investors.
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
  • Corporate finance: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions, as appropriate.
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including investors and advisors.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
  • At least three years experience as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance.
  • Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Strong IT skills, ideally with exposure to Sage.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
  • High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.

Content Manager

Summary
As a key part of our content team, you will be responsible for strategy, idea and concept generation. You will also manage content production from concept to go live and have full responsibility for scheduling content and ensuring content is delivered on time to the highest possible standard.

Core Responsibilities and Objectives

Content production:

  • Research / plan content strategy to maximise campaign targets
  • Deliver approved content plan within budget and within agreed timescales
  • Create / review / update content production processes
  • Create individual concepts for all content pieces
  • Manage quality control throughout the process
  • Full responsibility for content production

Campaigns and Outreach activity:

  • Support agency outreach strategy / campaigns
  • Manage and approve content delivered by agency
  • Contact & communications for outreach campaigns via email / telephone
  • Integrate a PR approach when creating campaigns
  • Ensure all targets are understood
  • Report on outreach campaigns
  • Attend blogger / social events to promote brand activity

Blogger relations / campaigns:

  • Implement and manage blogger relations campaigns
  • Schedule / plan all activity
  • Consistent and on brand in all communications
  • Quality control

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years Editorial/Digital Marketing experience
  • Content creation experience
  • Thorough understanding of content marketing, SEO and the digital marketing environment

Skills requirements

Content production:
Implementation of content strategy, content creation, brief writing, editing, proofing, commissioning of work. Quality assurance & process development with other team members. Monitor & manage content production in detail and to meet all agreed deadlines.

Project management:
Thorough knowledge of project management process & workflow.

Organisational skills:
Advanced use of google docs & office software. Proven collaborative workflow management.
