Do you have a lockdown routine?

Yes, I need routine to survive otherwise I’d never get dressed in the morning. I try to start my day going outside, I love Podcasts, so I listen to them and go for a long walk. Dad does the morning session of homeschool with Junior, so I do lunch then take over the afternoon Schooling. Then It’s a book, some telly, Zoom calls or sunbathing. I do dinner most nights, I’ve really upped my game when it comes to cooking, I’ve  took my creations to another level, it’s been like therapy and a great distraction.

How are you staying motivated in lockdown?

I’ve found motivation extremely hard. I’m quite an ambitious and busy person, I’m always on the move but when all work and travel was taken away I had no motivation to do anything. I’ve barely even done a work out. I watched in  awe of others who set up YouTube Channels or home broadcasts but the shock of the pandemic and lockdown sent me in to survival mode. I just have to get through a day and look after my boys, I have no motivation to do anything else. I’ve decided that’s OK but I do need to get reactivated!

What daily rituals have you adopted?

Walking is important to me, it clears my head, so it’s become like a ritual. It sounds silly but I’m having the most amazing baths filled with lovely products and really looking after my skin, bath salts, exfoliate and body oil. It’s a nightly thing and a blissful hour to myself.

What is your go to isolation uniform?

I’ve been doing a lot of workout gear as my isolation uniform lol which is ironic as I haven’t been working out much. I love Beyoncé’s Ivy Park line, it’s comfortable and stylish so I rock it wound the house and on my weekly Supermarket visit.

Why is it still important to you to wear jewellery while at home?

Once a week I dress up and put Make Up on, usually on Saturday, we have a nice dinner and date night. It’s the perfect time for me to don some of my beautiful jewellery I’ve collected over the years. Every piece has a memory attached and at a time when Ive been stuck at home, putting on a bit of Jewellery has made me feel special and reminded me that when we’re not in Lockdown, I’m a real glamour girl who loves to dress up and show off.

What are you most looking forward to when this is all over?

When this is all over I’m looking forward to being with my friends and family and also going out and socialising. I love a party or a get together, I love glasses of Champagne and a DJ and I’m not ashamed to say it. I’m a person who gets my energy from other people and I love being out, with chatter and music and laughter. I can’t wait to be on a night out!

Jean is back with a bang with a new series of Animal Park, which brings some great stories from all the Animals at Longleat as they come out of Lockdown. She referees a tortoise race and hatches a plan to get tiger cubs to go for a swim! Starts August 17 on BBCOne.
