Simple adjustments, such as moving a size or two up or down, are usually completed within a few days, and we even offer a same‑day service in Glasgow for urgent requests.

ROX holds a wide range of finger sizes in stock and advise that M is the most popular for women and T for men. If your choice doesn’t fit we can adjust any of our classic styles and we offer the first sizing free of charge. If we can't size the ring, we'll exchange it for the correct size up to 90 days after purchase. Pure gold is naturally yellow so white gold is crafted from pure gold mixed with white metals and finished with a bright rhodium plating, giving it a sleek, mirror‑like shine.  White gold offers a bright, modern look thanks to its rhodium‑plated finish, making it a stylish and accessible alternative to platinum with a lighter feel.   The mirror like rhodium-plated finish does wear-off over time and your ring might look a little yellow which is normal for white gold. Yes, platinum is considered hypoallergenic because it's a naturally pure, dense metal that is less likely to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions compared to other metals, making it excellent for sensitive skin. Its purity means it rarely causes irritation.

White gold is not a naturally occurring material; it is a man-made alloy created by combining yellow gold with other white metals which means it isn't inherently hypoallergenic.  White gold is plated with hypoallergenic rhodium creating a barrier that works for sensitive skin but over time the plating wears off and this can cause skin irritation for sensitive skin. 

Yellow gold is generally considered hypoallergenic, especially in higher purities (18ct) because pure gold doesn't cause reactions; however, the alloying metals added for durability for lower carat gold (9ct, 14ct) can cause irritation and a higher risk of allergy for sensitive skin. 18ct gold offers a great balance of durability and low allergy risk.

Even if metal for the ring is hypoallergenic, sometimes trapped moisture or chemicals under the band can cause rashes to sensitive skin.

Anyone selling precious metal jewellery in the UK — whether a retailer, importer or craftsperson — has a legal responsibility to ensure their pieces are properly hallmarked.  A hallmark is a series of official marks applied to a precious‑metal item by one of the UK’s independent, government‑appointed Assay Offices. 

There are four Assay Offices in the United Kingdom: Edinburgh, London, Sheffield and Birmingham. Before any hallmark is applied, each item undergoes rigorous testing — known as assaying — to verify its metal purity.

Hallmarking exists to protect you. Because precious‑metal jewellery is typically made from an alloy — a combination of precious and base metals — it’s impossible to determine purity by sight alone. Assaying provides independent confirmation that the metal content matches what is advertised. Consumers have a legal right to this guarantee, and all sellers must ensure that eligible products carry a correct and compliant hallmark.

Yes, every ROX engagement ring is provided with an International Guarantee and Service Plan.  The International Guarantee covers the ring against any manufacturing defects for a period of 3-years from the date of purchase. For the guarantee to remain valid, your ring must be checked and serviced by ROX at least once a year.

As part of the Service Plan, we’ll check and professionally refurbish your ring, once a year for the next 3-years so it’s restored to a perfect condition, just how it looked when you first saw it.  Simply pop into any of our boutiques to organise a service or book an appointment to visit us.  We’ll keep a record of the Service Plan on file.

Please note that the International Guarantee does not cover loss or damage resulting from accidents, mis-handling, abusive use (i.e. knocks, crushing, etc), unauthorised alterations or repairs, stones loosened by impact, rhodium wear, tarnishing and general wear and tear.

Avoid wearing your ring during heavy or abrasive activities, as even durable stones like diamonds can chip if struck hard.
Remove your ring when applying lotions, sunscreen or perfume, as these can dull the diamond’s brilliance and affect porous gemstones, and keep it away from chlorine bleach or harsh household chemicals.
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch to prevent scratching.

Yes, you can book an appointment to visit one of our boutiques to view and try on the ring.  Simply select the reason for your visit, the boutique from our list of locations along with the date and time that best suits you from the available slots.  

Provide us with your name and contact information, along with details of the ring you would like to see and submit the form.  We will make sure the ring is ready for you to view and transfer it from another location if required.  Once the ring is here, we will send you a confirmation via email.    We’ll roll out the red carpet for your visit and if for any reason you can't make it, you can reschedule it or cancel at anytime.

UK delivery is free, shipped via DPD guaranteed for delivery on the next day after dispatch (including Saturdays and Sundays).   All orders are sent out in plain outer packing with no mention of ROX on the outside. Every gift inside is presented in a ROX branded packer with a luxury ROX bag or gift wrap.  If the item you ordered is a surprise present, the wording on the packaging will not give any indication to contents. Our courier delivers 7-days a week.  

You will receive a notification via email when you order has been dispatched.  The next morning, you will receive a message from the courier confirming your delivery slot and PIN.  You can re-schedule delivery to another time to suit you. Unfortunately for security reasons, we do not allow deliveries to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour.  You will need to supply a PIN for your order when we deliver it. If you are not available when we deliver it, our courier will leave a calling card with instructions to re-schedule delivery at another time.  

If you prefer to collect your order from one of our ROX showrooms, then please choose this option when you checkout. Your order can be dispatched to ROX Glasgow, ROX Edinburgh, ROX Leeds, ROX Liverpool, ROX London and ROX Newcastle for collection. You must bring photographic identification with you (i.e. drivers licence or passport), along with the credit card and proof of the cardholder’s address.If the item you want to order is in the shop, then we can fulfill your order immediately.  If the item you want to order is in another shop, then please allow 2-3 working days for your order to arrive in-store. We will let you know when the order is ready to collect via email.  

You’re welcome to return any unwanted items for an exchange or full refund. Simply let us know within 14 days of receiving your order.   Please note that we’re unable to offer exchanges or refunds on items that have been specially made, personalised or altered to your specifications (such as engraved pieces).

All items must be returned in their original packaging, complete with the swing tag in tact and accompanying documents (including guarantees and valuations). We cannot accept returns that are used, damaged, incomplete or soiled.   Once received, exchanges will be processed the same day and refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 14 days.

Clean your rings regularly to keep them sparkling. Gently polish platinum and gold jewellery with a soft, clean cloth to restore their shine, and revive your diamonds by brushing them carefully with a soft toothbrush and a suitable jewellery cleaning solution. Always rinse thoroughly and dry well after cleaning, and avoid using any abrasive products that could damage the metal or stones.
